Engineered with vertical graphics card mounting at its core, the chassis supports cards up to 422 mm in length and 94 mm in thickness, connecting via an included PCIe 4.0 x16 riser cable. A dedicated 120 mm intake fan mounted below the power supply shroud draws air from beneath the floor directly upward into the card, supplemented by a pre-installed rear exhaust fan.

The HYTE Y40 accommodates ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards, with clearance for CPU air coolers up to 183 mm in height. Flexible cooling configurations allow side radiators up to 280 mm with up to 120 mm total clearance thickness, as well as top radiator setups up to 360 mm.
