This StarTech.com SFP module is a 1000BASE-SX Gigabit Ethernet fibre transceiver compatible with HPE J4858C. It works in HPE switches such as the 1400, 1700, 1820, 2520 and 2530 series, as well as MSA-compliant switches from other brands that accept uncoded modules.

It uses multimode fibre with an LC connector at 850nm and reaches up to 550m. The module is hot-swappable, and Digital Diagnostics Monitoring reports its status to SNMP network management tools. Typical power draw is 1W.
