This quad-port Gigabit Ethernet server adapter is built for enterprise and data centre rack and tower systems. Powered by the Broadcom BCM5719 controller, it provides four independent 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ-45 network connections over standard Cat 5, Cat 5e, or Cat 6 copper cabling up to 100 metres.
Engineered for virtualised environments, the card integrates VMware NetQueue and Microsoft VMQ technologies to reduce processing overhead. Extensive hardware offloads, including TCP/IP checksum offloads, Large Send Offload, and Receive Side Scaling, help preserve host CPU capacity during heavy network traffic.
Operating via a low-profile PCI Express 2.0 x4 host interface, this network card works across major platforms including Microsoft Windows Server, VMware ESXi, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server. It also supports PXE boot, iSCSI remote boot, and Energy Efficient Ethernet standards.
