Housed in a standard 1U rack-mountable enclosure, the D-Link DGS-1520-28 offers 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports alongside two 10GBase-T copper ports and two 10G SFP+ fibre slots for versatile high-speed uplinks.

The unit delivers a switching capacity of 128 Gbps and a forwarding rate of 95.24 Mpps. Advanced management capabilities include dynamic routing via OSPF and RIP, VLAN support, link aggregation, and DHCP snooping. Up to eight switches can be physically stacked in a hybrid copper and fibre configuration to provide up to 80 Gbps of stacking bandwidth.

Multi-site rollouts are simplified through Zero Touch Provisioning and management via a web GUI. For critical infrastructure requiring continuous uptime, the switch can be connected to a DPS-520 redundant power supply system to prevent network outages.
