This dedicated film scanner is designed for photographers and archivists digitising 35mm and medium-format film collections. Built with a rigid metal chassis, it features an eight-element glass lens system and a colour CCD sensor delivering an optical resolution of 5,300 dpi alongside a dynamic range up to 4.01 Dmax.

The motorised transport system automates batch scanning across multiple frames using tension-adjustable holders that keep negatives flat without glass plates. A built-in infrared channel detects surface dust and scratches for automatic defect removal. Compatible with Windows and macOS over USB 2.0, it comes bundled with the SilverFast Ai Studio 8 software package.
