This StarTech.com hub adds four 5Gbps USB-A ports to a USB-C laptop or desktop through its built-in 30cm cable, ideal for keyboards, mice, thumb drives and external SSDs. It is backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices and installs automatically on all major operating systems.

The hub runs on bus power, sharing 15W across its ports, and an optional Micro-USB input adds 4.5W when high-draw devices such as external drives need extra power.
