This multi-mode SFP+ transceiver provides high-speed optical connectivity for data centres, enterprise wiring closets, and service provider transport applications. Designed to connect into standard SFP+ switch slots, it delivers 10G Ethernet speeds up to 10 Gbit/s on multi-mode fibre cabling, offering ten times the speed of Gigabit Ethernet.

The module operates over an 850nm optical wavelength using an LC duplex connector and supports distances up to 550 metres. It is compliant with IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR specifications and supports full-duplex 802.3x flow control, providing necessary signal amplification for network data transmission.

Featuring an Enhanced Small Form-factor Pluggable format, the D-Link DEM-431XT is hot-pluggable, enabling administrators to insert or remove the transceiver while the host system remains powered on without interrupting the network.
